There is someone out there who has become a special friend. Someone who makes my days lighter..........and whose friendship I cherish. The birds are shy here but today they gathered in the ornamental cherry, as if they knew........
They sat very still.........
perfectly poised.......
only to aware, that the lady that feeds them........
wanted some special photographs.
Even the great tit obliged.......
So thank you dear Sherry........from me and the birds..........
Cheryl, what beautiful photos! They do indeed look like they are posing and waiting for somethinf special. Your package looks intriguing! Have fun with it.
Hi Beckie....I was pleased with the Photos today....it was as if the birds knew. I have some wonderful books to read....can't wait for bedtime to select the first one........ there was also a gift each for Riley and Poppi.....so very kind.......
What lovely photos of birds. Isn't is amazing how much joy and beauty we can see in nature as it goes about its business, not caring about our joy in the least but contributing to it all the same?
The birds were very cooperative today Cheryl. You did a great job getting those pictures.
That Sherry is a generous lady. You are lucky to have her as a friend.
I hope your trees are ready to be planted and they do well since you are planting them so late in the fall. Most trees like this time of year to get settled in.
Hi Lisa.....In the UK we always plant bareroot stock around this time.....in fact any time from now until end of Feb.......they do very well, due to our wet winters, and of course the weather is somewhat milder than it used to be. All the hedgerows I have planted were done at this time.
How sweet of Sherry to send you this gift! I've always thought of the two of you as kindred spirits, Cheryl--both of you have such a way with birds. I think the birds sense a caring soul around them--they've posed so beautifully for you.
Greetings from sunny, warm Arizona! I hope you are warm and dry, Cheryl, and have a wonderful weekend.
Some days everything just falls into place. And this was surely one of those days for you. Every photograph is beautiful. Thank you for sharing these amazing birds.
My Dear Rose....how sweet of you to drop by....I was thinking of you today......that lovely warm weather....you enjoy your special time with your daughter.....
I went to the pinetum to collect my hedgerow trees today.....had the most wonderful drive through the countryside......I shall do a post soon......
Dear Cheryl, I am so pleased you like the books! We ARE kindred spirits. I was holding the books you sent me in my arms when I came to see if your trees had arrived. "Hello" and "Thank you" to your lovely birds....The English Robin is so pretty and so are the Blue Tits. Seeing Great Tit sit still for a minute is amazing. I am so tickled to see your sharp and up close photgraphs! You will be having your own card line soon! The birds do appriciate your care and seed! I appriciate your kindness and being with you in spirit. Cheers dear friend, Sherry
Dear Sherry....you are so very welcome.....I do not think my photographs will ever be good enough for cards, but I am enjoying my camera now, so that is good......
The main reason for the post was just to show my appreciation of your kindness and friendship......
I am having such fun with my books.......I love books.....
My name is Cheryl and I am a wildlife gardener. I love my plants and trees...but my main interest is with the creatures, that share this space. I plant native wildflowers and plenty of other blooms for bees and butterflies. Birds are also an interest of mine.....I have plenty of mature trees and plants for nesting and food. I have a rabbit warren in the garden so planting has been a challenge, to say the least. There are also bats in the loft, I watch them in the summer flying back and forth to the roost. I love the countryside, the changing seasons, moody skies and lots lots more......
Please don't tag me, it makes me grumpy.
Our greatest experiences are our quietest moments
Gardening is a way of showing you believe in tomorrow.
