Sunday safari.......well not really, it's too cold.......

My tree is dressed.......I left it late this year. Christmas decorations hold memories for me.
Lots of memories........magical moments......

My Auntie gave me the angels many years ago. They are very beautiful, I never tire of them........

My garden is full of decorations. Mother Nature has been busy........she works her magic far better than I.
There are many feathers in the snow.......
All the teasels have bonnets.......
A mini Christmas tree perhaps?
The robin is my friend. I am feeding him suet sticks. He will not go hungry.
Happy safari Sunday........

Hi Cheryl,

Lovely photos, so snowy and festive :)

Poor little Robin, looks very fluffy and I'm sure your suet will be very much appreciated. I love your angel decorations, funny how we develop such affections to certain decorations. My glass decorations I imagine will be with me for a while to come...

Hi Gypsyrose.....the little robin comes into the shed and takes them from the bench. We are often in there together......

Hi Liz.....I have had the angels for many many years now. There were three....one was dropped (they are made of china).....I was upset as they have great sentimental value......

Dear Cheryl,
Your Christmas is magical!
I also hold dear the ornaments on my family tree. Your Robin is a darling. I thought of you when I took a picture of my Robin. It was warmer today in my backyard. No snow...yours looks beautiful! I do adore the snow caps!
Thank you for your friendship. I have enjoyed Sunday Safari with you this past year.
May you and yours have the Merriest of Christmases.
Namaste,
Sherry

Beautiful angels--treasures with a special memory.

The garden is beautiful in its winter coat.

Thank you Sherry......

Today is exceptionally cold and snow is falling. The lanes are covered....driving will be hazardous.

It has been a pleasure doing safari with you....I have found the last few weeks difficult but at least I posted. If only I could stop the birds from fleeing.......one day perhaps.....

Thank you for your friendship.....something I treasure, and always will.....

Your ornaments are so pretty Cheryl. It looks like you are ready for a Christmas celebration, snow and all. Merry Christmas.

Looks like your snow has stayed, Cheryl; I love a white Christmas! Your angel ornaments are so pretty. Several years ago I gave up on real trees and finally bought an artificial one. I don't enjoy putting it together or putting on the lights, both so time-consuming. But I do enjoy putting on the ornaments, especially all the ones like yours that hold so many memories. Wishing you Happy Holidays this week!

I love old Christmas ornaments. Our tree is always a history book in our family. The kids love to look at the tree and find all the ornaments from their childhood. I always try to add one every year, and the grands are now looking back through the years as they look at the tree. Little Loudon's favorites seem to be all candy themes--his favorites are "candy candies" (his word for candy canes), and cookie ornaments with sprinkles!

Your little robin looks very well fed! They are much bigger here, I think, and the first sign of spring. With the Winter's solstice today, comes the promise of the first robin of spring and a glorious new garden.

I love the season, too, and allt he good feelings accumulated over the years that return. Also, the European robins are so much cuter than those in North America!

Cheryl, your ornaments are lovely as is your garden's. It is amazing the memories of Christmases past that some ornaments bring back. Years ago, I started getting each granddaughter and Angel each year for our tree. When they move out on their own, I will give them their Angels, and I hope they provide good memories for the girls.

I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New year!

The snow has almost melted in our garden but we still have tick ice on our drive and lots of black ice on roads.
Don't enjoy this part of winter.
Merry Christmas!

The angels are exquisite Cheryl, I'm sure you treasure them with the happy memories they must hold.

How lovely to sit by that wonderful log fire which you showed on an earlier post. It was lovely too to see your Robin and your wintry garden.

I do hope you enjoyed Christmas and I wish you a very happy and healthy New Year.

Dear Cheryl - sorry not to get the chance to wish you a Happy Christmas but we only just managed to get away from France on the 18th with so much to do and we were nearly stopped by a heavy snowfall - only just made our ferry!! A very Happy New Year to you - do hope you and the family have had fun over the festive period. Back in France again now and wondering what snow will be coming our way this week - looks as if we'll get some Tues/Wed.. but I'd imagine you'll have had your share already!! Do take care and look forward to following your blog again during 2010.. with love Miranda x
