Dear Cheryl,
You have a birthday coming up!
I wrote the date down...
I too have Spring fever. It is very cold at my house, -8C! Too cold for me to be out for very long.
These are fantastic photographs...you are good...
He IS smitten...I bet she is too. A darling couple.
The best cure for Spring fever is dirt! Hope you are enjoying yours...
I just love Bumble on your header...soon I will see bees. I miss them so very much.
Thank you for the smiles,
Sherry

Dear Sherry......It has been bright and warm today. Poppi and I spent four hours in the garden, after our shopping trip. She enjoyed choosing her dress, hat, and hair accessories. She also helped me choose a dress.....sweet child.....

The mallards are really lovely....they spend around an hour a day in the garden. Last year a pair came.....they brought there duckling into the copse....

The bees have restored me....just seeing them lifts my heart and spirit.......

Happy Birthday! I too have spring fever even though we really don't have seasons. Just a lighting change I suppose.

dearest cheryl,

i do have spring fever and cabin fever today having to stay in but i did start a fire. that always helps. something about a crackling fire sooths my soul.
your images are so delightful to this grey day girl. i am so glad you are having nice weather and sunshine for your daffy's. they look exceptional in the sun.
the mallard couple looks quite content to be together, how nice.
your new header with mr. bumble is great. i am looking forward to hearing the buzzzzzing soon.
when is your bday, cheryl. i don't want to miss it.
lovely post.
lovely photos.
lovely thoughts of spring.

Dear Mimi....that seems so strange to me....no seasons.....I love the change of temperatures and weather as the next season unfolds......

Hi Marmee I enjoyed walking the garden late afternoon and taking the photographs.....the whole garden is slowly coming to life, and I love that.
I had a log fire last night....it was very cold here.....to see the flames and logs glowing is indeed comforting.....especially if you are sitting with the one you love.....
My birthday is next Monday....they creep up quickly.....but I am enjoying my journey into older age.....I have learnt a lot and I am sure the road ahead will be interesting.......

Happy Birthday Cheryl!(a little early). My eldest son is also born in March. On the 22nd. March is a good time to have a birthday. You can celebrate spring with rebirth and renewal.

Yes, spring fever, for sure. Especially when we get a warmer day and we can hear the snow melting into puddles on the road.

Your ducks really do look contented. Once again, you've captured them beautifully.
It is nice to watch the garden wake-up.
Spending quality time with Poppi must bring smiles and sunshine to your heart.

March is a wonderful month full of ups and downs in temperature. Surprises in the garden. every day it seems something new blooms. I would have a fire today if we had a fireplace. It is cold again. The weather has been a wonderful tease the past few days. Reality struck this morning. Brrrr.

Spring fever hit hard when the temps got into the 60's here. Just had to get out and do a little in the gardens. But now the cold winds are back so I started some seeds indoors. That helps- waiting for them to sprout.

Your pictures are so lovely, spring has come to your garden. I love the ducks. Wouldn't you love to have some ducklings running around the garden. Poppi would be thrilled!

Hope your birthday is great and you get everything you wish for .

Oh beautiful, beautiful Daffodils, I love them so much and look forward each year to seeing their lovely golden faces, and how wonderful to have Mr and Mrs Mallard in residence!

March is a very Birthday month. My husband's is this month, my dear late mother's was and two of the four very, very special little girls in my life also.

I definitely have spring fever, too! I keep checking the garden for new signs of green and to see how many centimeters the daffodils and tulips have grown since the day before:) Winter temps have returned here, but I hope it's just the last gasp of winter.

I love the new header picture--that really says spring. And I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Cheryl!

Happy March Birthday to you! I have a very bad case of spring fever this week. Lovely pictures.

Hi Wendy.....I do hope the snow melts soon and spring flowers start to appear in your gardens. When mine are fading yours will be blooming, so we will share again....

The mallards are fun.....another pair arrived yesterday....it is getting a little difficult to keep Nella calm. She is confined to the front garden when they are here.....

Hi Lisa.....I lit a fire the other evening.....it was so cold and it takes the chill of this old house......keeps my bones warm to!!

Hi Beckie....our temperature have not reached that high yet. We did get to 12C (55F) today but we still have a cold wind. It is becoming irritating.......

We had ducklings in the copse last year.....but they were very skittish.....the mallards had around ten......

Cheryl said...

Hi Shysongbird.......lots of spending in your house in March the??
Hope they all have fun......

Cheryl said...

Thank you Rose.....we still have a cold wind to....I am a little tired of it to be honest. Gardening is not a pleasure when it is windy but there is so much to do, so I shall busy.....

I to check the garden everyday. I like to see if something has sprung up or opened overnight......so exciting, don't you think??

Dear Cheryl,
Yes, the entrance to spring is full of so many subtle changes... yet none goes unnoticed from a gardener's gaze. I'm loving the longer days and changing light. It seems the whole earth is waking up from slumber. Beautiful daffs and ducks ... and Happy March Birthday!

I can't tell you how much I am enjoying your garden's spring awakening. Gives us a glimpse of the future for ourselves, when we catch up to your spring.

No such thing as spring fever in Florida, sometimes I wish we had the four seasons instead of the two (hot and hotter)

I do have spring fever, I just posted about the first American Robin coming back to western NY. I really want to plant native here and that is my goal. It will be an ongoing process as I am not a gardener, just a bird lover... Michelle

Happy Birthday Cheryl! My eldest daughter was born in March--the Ides of March. It is looking a lot like spring at your house, enjoy the lengthening days out in the garden.

The daffodils make things bright...I can see the longer days and feel the change in light...Our colors are very few at this time, but this next week will bring a Spring fever (the temps will be causing some thaw - yippee).
