Oh Cheryl, I have to tell you...the other day when I went to look at that house...when I came back out there was a huge swarm of bees that had collected on this tree branch. It must have been 8" in diameter. The landlord said it had just happened as we were inside. It wasn't there before. First I wondered if it was a sign that I needed to reconsider taking the place. In the end it just made me smile & think of you!
Also, keep your fingers & toes crossed, there is much transpiring today. A woman is coming over later to take a look at all of the clothes from my shop!!

Dear Cyndee....how wonderful. Were they honey bees? I think they must have been. Thank you for your sweet thought....it is always lovely to know that someone thinks of you.

Everything is crossed fingers, toes, arms etc.....hmmm how will I garden tomorrow.....

I do hope that the lady is interested and all works out well for you Cyndee....

Have a good weekend......

I too love white flowers, though I sometimes find them hard to photograph, especially in the sun. It hadn't occurred to me before, but they are certainly a wonderful backdrop to bees!

well dear cheryl,

i too love white flowers...there is just something so still, pure, and quiet about them. i love seeing the bees landing on anything in my garden but on the white blooms they are striking.

i loved your previous post...you are an artist...whose vision for colour and serenity intertwine beautifully...i love your garden and your expressions of what they mean to you...you are sincere in your efforts and honest with letting your feelings show through...i love that.

I never looked at bees against white flowers. Now I will. I've always preferred colours to white, but lately, I am enjoying the purity and simplicity of white.

Happy gardening - hope it's a nice warm and sunny weekend.

Hi Shirl.....my wisteria is fading.....it has been flowering for three weeks now, so I have enjoyed the wonderful fragrance while eating supper. I hope that you will photograph your lovely blooms.....

Hi Monica...I to find them difficult to photograph white in the sun....but when a beautiful bee is on them I just take a chance.....

Hi Marmee....white is pure and so still....I think there is a need for me to have white in my garden. I find it calming.....it connects me to much more than my garden....

Have a lovely weekend with your beautiful family......

Hi Wendy......I think colour is so important to us all. More, perhaps, than we realise. I cannot take too many bright colours....and I know there are many who find white boring. Each of us is different and that is what makes life so interesting.....

Have a happy weekend...

Hi Cheryl, being someone who loves colour I have only started to appreciate the beauty of white in the garden in the last few years, but now I think it adds a special and serene quality to any flower bed.

Have a lovely weekend.

You and me both Cheryl! Now that most of my roses are in flower in the white garden bees are humming there in their droves. Which is great!

The bees do show up so well on the white flowers, Cheryl. Here, they always gravitate to my purple flowers. The bumblebees seem to really coming out right now, but I haven't seen a butterfly yet. I've been so busy planting and trying to organize things here that I haven't just stopped to enjoy what's around me. It's been warm and sunny, so I am trying to take advantage of it. Have a good weekend!

Yes, white flowers are wonderful in the garden. They light up the shady areas like a beacon. Obviously the bees and butterflies think the same thing. Have a wonderful weekend. We have tied the record for high temperatures here today. HOT and MUGGY.
