The sun shone.

Today has been one of those days that was perfect. Nothing life changing just gently perfect. The sun came out, not hot, not cold, just a nice sort of warm. I decided to pull some of the weeds out of the borders. As if by magic everything around me seemed happy. A beautiful peacock butterfly settled not far from me, a male chaffinch called to his sweetheart, and to top it all a charm of goldfinch visited. The day ended with a lovely sunset, and I felt very happy with my world.

Cheryl, so glad you had a 'perfect' day. Everyone deserves those. It was cold and damp here again. But we can tell spring is coming. Great pictures!

This sounds like a wonderful day - and your photos are beautiful. I am so looking forward to working in the gardens. It's still much too wet here to do anything, but soon...

Dear Cheryl,
I am so happy you had sunshine and a pleasant day in your garden.
Your birds are lovely and I am wowed by your beautiful butterfly. The butterflies are slow to come out at my house this year. It is still very cold.
Happy April!
Sherry

Thank you earthman.

Hi Sherry...Yes the butterflies came and have now gone again. With more cold weather to come at the weekend when will this weather settle into spring?
