The male bees have started to die....they have such a short life. They have mated with the females and done there little bit in the circle of life. The females will now start to lay their grubs in the tubes and collect pollen for them. I am so glad that I have done my bit and they leave me with a tree full of apples in the autumn. Everything has a purpose, we are all here for a reason. I believe the more we understand nature, the more we understand ourselves.
I leave you with this thought: The sky, a tree and man will survive, it man understands the tree.

I love the picture on your header.
I was feeling a little grumpy this morning, then clicked on your site. The first thing I saw was the picture of your granddaughter in the wagon, and my mood changed completely. Cheryl, this is just precious; I can't think of the right adjectives to describe it. You ought to frame this picture and hang it somewhere you can see it everyday--you'll be sure to smile each time you pass it.
My appleblossoms are fading, too; in fact, I didn't even get a picture of them.
Your comment about understanding nature sounds like something Wordsworth might have said.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for brightening mine!
The picture of Poppi is wonderful! You surely have that one framed. It is sad the little bees live only a short while, but you made them very happy and provided for the next generation. A good deed, indeed. Can't wait to see those apples.
Tku Lisa. I took it today when Poppi stayed.
Rose if it cheered you then it made my day to. Thank you for leaving such a beautiful comment.
Beckie I wish that I could send you some apples, youare such a good blogging pal.
