One man and his dog........

Mr P thought I was taking photographs of wildlife...........
He needed time to think..................time without intrusion...........

Silence is golden sometimes..............

Just a man and his dog...........
Time to catch him up and head for home.............

So true Cheryl. The trick is to know when to talk and when to be silent!

Nothing like going for a walk with your best friend! Lovely pics.

A walk is the best way to clear one's head and think fresh thoughts. This is such a beautiful path, Cheryl; I would have no trouble getting motivated to walk every day if I had such beautiful surroundings!

The perfect companion for a bit of quiet time...and a great job of capturing the moment. A key skill for photography - how to get a shot with little disturbance.

Silence is golden and so are those beautiful trees down that quaint walk. Love the Mr. P and dog captures. Great bird photos on the previous post, too, Cheryl.

Hi Rose.....I walk everyday now with Nella......except when the rain is torrential.....I am finding it rewarding in many ways......With another busy week Mr P just needed some space......

I agree with Morning Glories, as we all need silence occasionally. A good walk in the fresh air is a great way to get your head straight I think. Thanks for sharing these with us Cheryl and hope you are well xxxx

Cheryl,

So poignant and true. The way you photographed them from a distance made them look very much alone with each other, in a beautiful place. Beautiful.

Hi Dawny.....he needed space, time to think.......this time will go......

Cheryl said...

Dear Mary.......we were alone....not another soul.......just the birds, sheep in the fields......and the wind blowing......

Cheryl said...

Indeed Naturegirl, that is exactly right......

We all need that alone time. These are wonderful photos of the tree covered lanes you walk Cheryl. I can now imagine you taking walks with Mr P and your dog.

Cheryl said...

Hi Lisa.....the lanes are particularly beautiful at the moment......sometimes you just need that space.......
I shall think of you next time I walk Nella, when I am alone with my thoughts.......

Cheryl, Neel seems very devoted to both of you. I imagine she also is still missing her friend. Your tree canopied path is just beautiful. So very peaceful looking and a perfect place to gather ones thoughts.

Nella is devoted to us both Beckie.....being a rescue dog, they are always so greatful.....

Time to reflect....we all need that sometimes....don't we?

Dear Cheryl,
These photographs are treasures!
You have the photgrapher's eye.
I too love to be out walking with my husband. We do not need to talk.
If we do have conversation I am inclined to talk about felting and studios and what goes into a dyer's garden. A bird report will most likely enter in as well. LOL!
Wonderful post.
I understand the need for silence and quietly holding hands. It is in that sacred space we find peace.

Dear Sherry.......

Silence is sometimes underestimated for its healing powers....especially when you are in the company of someone that you are at ease with....
I to like the photographs.....that showed what I was feeling at the time.....

I am glad that you enjoyed them to......

I can see that you are totally involved with your felting and the studio will be so wonderful.....a place for you to work with your own thoughts.......

Your sequence of photos tells a story. A quiet story.
Trees hold Mr. P and Nella in their arms.
And the path leads them on.....and then home.

I know just how he feels...sometimes a walk it just the right thing to do!
My Mr would love your 'lane'! It is beautiful...

Beautiful fall colors. My favorite time of the year, unfortunate we don’t get those colors here.

Walks are good, for the mind and body ... that's probably part of the reason why we have dogs.

Cheryl said...

We all need them, don't we Marmee......

Cheryl said...

I like that Wendy....the trees held him in their arms....beautiful

Cheryl said...

Tku Gail...no area is perfect....but I love where I live.......

Cheryl said...

Hi Rusty.....it is lovely to travel blogs and see how nature is in that part of the world......

Cheryl said...

Hi Robert......walks and dogs are both healing......
