Sunday safari....Small copper.

The Small copper lives for a month.
She lays her eggs on sorrel and dock.    I have both in the garden.
I live in hope that she will use the plants :0)

Happy Sunday safari.

I hope she does too. What bright colors. Very fall-like. Happy SS.

Isn't it strange when you think that in 25 days, the small copper will be considered by her peers to be very old...the cycle of light has such interesting variations.

Hi Cheryl,

I do love the Small Coppers, I hope we have more in the future as I probably only get a couple in a season.

Such a delicate little creature and beautiful images of her, Cheryl. I don't seem to have my camera with me lately whenever the butterflies do appear. We're having some beautiful fall weather these days; it's a joy to be outside.

Hi Liz,

I have seen many drifting around the lanes when I walk Nella.
It was good to have them in the garden again....

Hi Rose,
The weather is very changeable here.
It was chilly and rainy this morning. Now we have sunshine and it feels quite warm.

Oh Cheryl,
Oh my she is gorgeous.....
I love your macro lens....you take gorgeous photographs. Autumn light is great.....
oh my goodness. I too hope she lays eggs! I hope you see many Coppers in your gardens.
It is true...to everything there is a season...her life may seem short but she is amazing.
The butterflies have a dear friend in you.
As long as there are caring souls like you the butterflies have a chance. Planting host plants is the best.
Gorgeous little one....
Happy Safari.
Hope....always hope. The butterflies are gifts....they bring smiles and much beauty. The days are growing shorter. I know these season of the butterflies is coming to an end. I already miss them.

What beautiful pics, Cheryl! Little copper is so colourful and lively. I hope she lays eggs too. One month seems so short, yet life cycles are what they are.

Sending butterfly hugs.
