Blushing Hawthorn.

When I posted recently on the Hawthorn a lot of you were interested in the fact that she flushed pink when pollenated. The tree above has not had any bees visit yet. If you look at the next photograph the Hawthorn has a lovely patch of pink in the centre. There will be berries on that tree in the autumn. For that we thank the bees.

Cheryl, now that is a pretty picture! When the blooms turn pink it's almost a 2-fer. 2 bloom colors on one plant. Your spider of yesterday was...interesting. I try not to see them outside. I'm sorry, they give me the crawlies!
