Damselflies and blooms.

I decided I would not post today, but you know how it is, you are out in the garden on your knees weeding and you spot a beautiful damselfly. One thing leads to another and you have loads of photos ready for your blog. I always get so excited to, I love uploading my photos and seeing them on screen. I was amazed at what I found today............
Tiny little bloom, I have no idea what it is or where it came from. Can anyone help?

Beautiful Rhododendron....a gift from Mr. Practical.

Lupinus Chandalier, I worry about these because slugs and snails love them. I have put wood ash around them. Fingers crossed.

Geum Red Wings. Lovely colour.

Oriental poppies, these are going to be amazing when they bloom.

Allium Star of Persia.....can't wait for these to open.
The last bloom is Pelargonium Ruby Red. Hope you have enjoyed looking at them.

Beautiful blooms, Cheryl--I would take time to post these, too! What good fortune in seeing the damselfly. We have dragonflies in the summer, but I've never seen a damselfly around here--perhaps I just wasn't noticing. I plan to notice more this summer.

Hi Rose, I am sure that if you have dragonflies, you will have damselflies....we have both. I think the damselflies are more difficult to spot, I just got lucky today.

I think the little white flower with the purple spots at the end of the petals might be Nemophila maculata. I have grown it in the past and it is very pretty and delicate.

Thank you largo observer, I am really grateful to you.

Cheryl, so glad you posted today. The pictures are worth sharing. I love the damselfly-so like a dragonfly. I love your purple rhododendron. We usually don't see that deep color here. Have a good rest of the week and talk to you after the weekend.

Yes, love those flowers - each one unique. I particularly loved the bee at the top of your blog. Glad you enjoyed your day in the garden. We're still so behind here in eastern Canada, but at least I can enjoy yours!

Yes, I certainly enjoyed looking at your lovely blooms. Gardening makes one very much aware of all the insects too, doesn't it?

Actually hedgewitch, it sat there and virtually posed. Very lucky!

Thank you Yolanda.....yes it does make you aware of everything around you.
