Flax, lovely flower. Was blowing around in a strong wind today, hence the hazy image. I have dozens of these, when they are in full bloom they will look stunning.
This is one of those insect eating plants and is just about to flower.

Salix Integra or Pink Flamingo...lovely little trees, I have six now, you can never have too many!!

Granny's bonnet and bumble bee.....what a lovely combination.

Tamarix it never fails to please me.

Pretty wild flowers and a garden ornament.....I thought it made a special picture.Even a solitary grass can be beautiful.

And this is one of the nicest garden fixtures. My old girl "Polly Wolly Do Do", she is thirteen now. She has lost her hearing and her eyes aren't what they used to be. She has a heart condition, a serious heart condition. She lives to eat and sleep with the odd walk now and again. She can virtually sleep sitting up as you can see from the photo. Is she happy, you bet she is. Animals are amazing aren't they. She takes life as it comes, every day just is. Us humans sometimes look at things far too deeply, instead of just letting things 'be'. Perhaps if we just took each day as it comes and not look too far ahead life would become simpler. I know something I wish I could be one of my dogs for a little while, I really do give them such a good time!!!!!

Hi Cheryl,
This is getting a bit spooky as we have one of those pottery rings of people.

Glad you got the picture and you like it. I hope it goes in the place you thought it would.

Cheers Mark

So many blooms,Cheryl! Thanks for including a photo of Polly; I didn't know about her. I bet she enjoys spending time with you in the garden. She reminds me of our dear departed Roco who enjoyed spending his last days enjoying the sunshine outside. Even Coconut, our frisky Pomeranian, loves going out with me to garden and watching the birds.

What are they Mark, do you know if they have a significant meaning. Mt little granddaughter thinks they are playing ring a ring of roses.
The picture will be perfect of that I am sure.

Polly was a rescue dog and has captured a little bit of my heart. She is a dear, and old age has given her a sweet personality. She is frightened of her own shadow these days, bless her. I would not be without her.

You take such lovely pictures! I especially like the one of the garden ornament and the fresh flowers - looks like one of the "people" is offering flowers to someone.

Your right Wendy it does....I like that photo even more now.

Hi Cheryl, a lovely post with the bloom of a pitcher plant. At least that is what it looks like to me. You must have a bog garden to have pitcher plants blooming. This is very special. I would love to have a bog garden. This spring the back corner of my garden could be one. Ha..

Polly is a lovely ole girl. You are lucky to have her for so long.

That ring of people is like what Ihave seen in Mexico or the South West of the States. I bet you could find an explaination for it. As I remember it is a depiction of a ceremony of some sort.

Hi Lisa....I am fortunate to have a naturally boggy area in the garden. It very rarely dries out. The only problem is it does get out of control very easily, I feel like the plants are going to take over sometimes.
Yes Polly is a lovely old girl. I worry about her health but she is a happy little soul....so a day at a time.
Tks for info regarding the garden ornament....I did wonder if it was some sort of ceremony....I am a great one for rituals etc so it would be quite fitting.
