Wonderful Wisteria.

This is my wisteria today.....full of blooms.....
Mr Practical made and put these arches up for me. The whips had been lying on the drive when we moved here, it was very much a neglected plant.
The frost hit this plant hard in early April and I lost all the buds.
The photo above shows you what they looked like, they just fell off the plant, and I thought it would not flower this year.
I spoke to an elderly man that I know in the village and told him what had happened. He told me to feed it seaweed and keep my fingers crossed. I did exactly that.....and now as I walk through the arch and look up to the sky, this is my view. There are lots more buds waiting to open, when it is in full flower I will upload a photograph. Isn't mother nature amazing.

Your wisteria is indeed beautiful, and kudos to Mr. P for building you those arched trellises. I would love to have an arch or arbor trellis, but can't decide yet where to put it.

And Cheryl, I have responded to the book tag you gave me last week. Hope you don't mind that I didn't tag anyone at the end. You had already tagged some of the people I would have, so I decided to just leave it open-ended.

Arches are wonderful Rose and they add another dimension to the garden.
Open ended is good Rose it has to stop somewhere. I am not very keen on these meme things personally. I don't think I will be doing anymore.
Hedgewitch is always an exception, she is such a sweet soul I can't refuse her.
Thanks for doind it.

Cheryl, The wisteria is beautiful. I am so tickled that your TLC worked! And I love the arches Mr.P built for them. Your post of the last week are just beautiful, and I loved your tribute to the bees. I am sure if the had a blog they would do one for you.

I didn't get a chance to keep up with my blog reading while I was gone, and I missed seeing yours! Thanks for the tag, but I think this time I will pass while I try to get back on schedule with everything.

Thanks Beckie missed you to, you always cheer me with your comments.
So pleased about the wisteria, makes me happy just to look at it.
Fine about tagging, they are tedious anyway, aren't they?

I have had no luck getting wisteria to bloom here. Too harsh a climate perhaps. The foliage was plentiful, but no flowers.
I love the dragonfly on your banner. Great photo..!

Dear Cheryl,
As Rose said, "Your wisteria is indeed beautiful." Seaweed drink was an excellent idea. The Dragonfly on your header is gorgeous. I read Mark's id. Always nice to know the name.
I love bugs!!
Mother Nature is amazing...
So are you! I think you are her dear daughter.
Happy Full Flower Moon.
Bird songs, bee dances and butterfly wings,
Sherry

Wisteria need very careful pruning to flower...... they can take quite low temp, most originate from China where the weather can be extreme.
The Hawker is beautiful......
Tks for dropping by Sheila

The wisteria is so pretty - and what a beautiful view as you look up. And Mr P has done a brilliant job for you. And yes, I couldn't agree more about Mother Nature. She is very good to us isn't she, giving us this lovely world we live in xx

Hi Dawny.....The garden blogging world is very quiet at the moment. Everyone out tending their plot.
Thanks for dropping by, hope the crafting market is busy.
Mother nature is indeed wonderful, she does the job so much better than we ever can.

Although wisteria is beautiful it is so short lived that I'm afraid it is not a favourite of mine. I think it should flower for alot, lot longer!!!
Really love your new header pic!

I quite agree with you Libby...that is why I have honeysuckle and an unusual clematis growing through mine. As the Wisteria stops blooming, hey presto, the others start.
Hope the back pain is easing.
