Sunday safari

It rained last night, birds sit in the trees.........

enjoying the early morning sunshine.
A female chaffinch sits snug and cosy amongst the branches of the old Hawthorn tree.

I walk serenity's path to Poppi's patch.......
Is there anything more beautiful than a humble bumble collecting pollen from a pretty pink bloom?
I enjoy the moment.....each visit is a precious gift.....
Here in the stillness, I feel my spirits soar......
There is so much poetry in nature.....
the great mystery of life and growth......
Everything changing before my very eyes.....
taking it's time......
silently....there is no hurry here......
I leave you with the words of Adelaide Proctor.......
Linger O gentle time.....
Linger, O radiant grace of bright today....
Let not the hours' chime
Call thee away,
But linger near me still with fond delay.
Have a happy and peaceful Sunday.......

Wonderful photos Cheryl, the weather has been very changeable recently... At least we've also had plenty of rainbows to make up for it!

I love the Bees and the pinks, so cheerful and warm! Of course everyone also has to love the maple leaves, my baby maple is changing now and looking rather handsome!

Dear Cheryl,
I too want to linger just a few more days in October's graceful ways.
Being with the leaves as they show their colours and watching Poppi's bees is being in heaven.
It is lovely in your garden.
Thank you for this restful time. Thank you for sharing this beauty.
Hunting bugs with you is so fun.
Happy Safari!
Stay strong my friend,
Sherry

Today it's been raining all day with strong winds and gale force gusts, winter looks as if it has already arrived for us up north. It looks like you've had a lovely Autumn day.

Wonderful photos, I enjoyed the blooms, birds and the bees. Very pretty photos.

Hi Liz.....we are having very beautiful autumnal days....a bit of drizzle here and there...these days are sweet....

Maples are devine....I would not have a garden without them....for me they speak autumn.....

Dear Sherry....October here has been most beautiful, we have had a very serene and peaceful month. How much longer can it last? Bees are regular visitors....and captivate me....I feel reluctant to let them go.....

Safari is fun....and becoming more challenging as we walk towards winter.

Hugs

What a lovely stroll around the garden today Cheryl. No bumbles around here. A few wasps have come into the house some way. They are slow. Much too cold to give anyone any trouble. Cheers.

Hi Lisa...we have plenty of wasps too...they are still using the nesting site....warm weather for the rest of the week.....

Beautiful photos, Cheryl! The bee looks as if he's covered with sugar:) We had a rare sunny day today, too; time to admire all the changing colors of the trees. Here's hoping autumn lingers a little longer, too.

Hi Rose....it was lovely to just sit a while and watch the bee....he seemed to just be enjoying the fact he was amongst the flowers.

It is such a beautiful time of year.....lets hope it will stay a little longer.....

Another lovely safari, I think your weather has been much nicer than ours, we had high winds and squally showers all day. It almost seems to be Summer still where you are.

All your photos are lovely but I think my favourite is the Blue Tit. Of course I enjoyed Adelaide Proctor's words too :)

Who doesn't like to sit in morning sunshine? :) I haven't been seeing too many bees here; it's getting cold.

I forgot to mention, I love the spiderweb photo.

Your garden looks lovely. You must be enjoying a mild autumn. We are breaking records for rainfall and our autumn color has been poor.

I enjoyed your fall colors and the pretty pink cosmos in your photos. The spider web is awesome, too.

I forgot to thank you for the encouragement that my clematis may come back in the spring. I think I will find a way to protect the stem/s from critters.

Oh Cheryl! You got a beautiful spider's web! It is so delicate, yet strong - a real work of art!!

Your little humble bumble's wings are translucent - pure magic!

What lovely finds this Sunday. Yes, thanks for the gentle reminder that nature is in no hurry. We'll take each day as it comes, and treasure the gifts.

so enjoyed catching up with whats been going on at your place.
I have sadly lost my love of gardening, I think its because I have been unable to garden for such a long time that the garden now looks horrendous, it is going to take so much to get it back that it will be hard to achieve but, I will persevere!
