A friend gave me the green man as a gift. He is often put into gardens and houses for protection. He can be seen in Gothic churches all over Europe. He hides in my copse amongst the ivy. Great place for him don't you think?

Cheryl, I love the mask. It looks so at home and natural in the ivy setting. I, too, Have a lot of ivy. I bought several trays a few years ago and planted them thinking they would cover and keep weeds down. It worked! To an extreme! I now spend part of my gardening time cutting it back. But I do like the "old garden" feel it gives to some areas of my garden. Great photos of the pampas grass and hooray for the snow drops!
