Garden Meditation by Paddy O'Brien.....

You are walking along a path towards a walled garden. There is a gate into the garden and you are walking towards the gate.
Go through the gate into the beautiful garden. The sun is deliciously warm on your body and you soak up the warmth.....
In the garden are beautiful flowers and shrubs all around you.....
Butterflies are dancing in the sunlight......
You can smell the lovely scents arising from the warm flowers......
and you wander among the flower beds enjoying the colours,

the shapes......
the perfumes......
The sun is warm, it is peaceful, quiet and sleepy......
just the occasional murmuring of bees
or birdsong arises from time to time in the silence......

In the middle of the garden is a pool of clear, clean water.......you walk to the pool....
and dip yourself into the clear, clean sparkling water.
All your tiredness, sadness and confusion is washed away in the crystal water of the pool.
Come out of the pool fresh and clean, newly born and...........
lay yourself down to dry in the warm sunshine.............

surrounded by the beauty of the garden.........

As always some great photo's. I love the ones of the butterfly. Very colorful. I've been trying to get more butterfly shots for my blog but there are not a lot of butterflies around since we don't have a lot of flowers around the pond during the summer.

...and now we are refreshed and restored.

Those are some great images. I think I like those butterfly shots the best, although a partially obscured gate is always exciting in it's mystery.

Hi Chris....Don't you just love gates that have a sense of mystery....I am one of those people that have the temptation to open and go through.....I am the same with old doors.....

Lovely, lovely, Cheryl. I feel calmer already...
Glad you identified the peacock butterfly--I have never seen one before, other than perhaps in a book. How lucky you are to have them in your garden!

Dear Cheryl,
Before bed this evening I wanted to stop in and say, "Hi."
I am so glad I did. I am relaxed and drifting now on the wings of your most lovely butterfly! So very spectagular! I can smell your beautiful lavender too, calming and restful. Lavender is a healing herb.
Each picture a delight and the meditation has prepared me for dreamland.
Thank you.
Namaste,
Sherry

Dear Sherry....
I hope that you slept well...

The butterfly is beautiful, peacock butterflys visit all the time, to get a photograph is difficult as they come and go so quickly. This particular butterfly was taken with allium drumsticks so I was able to get several shots....

Lavender is healing, I could not live without it. I have around twenty plants here....some are old and need replacing....sometimes I just give them another year...

Have a fun weekend....look forward to safari Sunday,,,,it should be warm here....fingers crossed....

Dear Sherry....we live in the same world...I consider you my friend. It is wonderful to communicate with someone who understands my ways.....

Oh that was wonderful! I will read it over and over when I feel sad. I enjoy "guided meditations". They take you outside of yourself and slow things down, so you can just "be".
Thanks for this post, I really liked it.
And thanks for your funny poem on my blog!
Have a nice weekend.

Hi Wendy....I am very keen on visualisation techniques.....for me they are quite healing....
I suppose it is an escape from the horrible things going on sometimes... I hope you get some good from it...

The poem was fun....It made a change to get the old brain ticking.....
