Foxgloves I love them

How about you? So does the bumble bee and nothing quite depicts summer as the buzzing of the bumble up inside a foxglove trumpet. Exquisite.
While talking summer my thoughts go to hanging baskets. I have six beautiful stands to put mine on, the only problem is we are south facing and the sun beats down on them all day. Also the site is exposed so we get some very strong winds. Over the last six years I can truly say they have always been a bit disappointing, they always end up so weather beaten. Any ideas, taking the above into account. I would be really grateful for any feed back. Thanks in advance.

Hi Beckie
Yes we are lucky with our grandchildren. They enhance our lives and make our world a brighter place.
Well keep looking on the comments here you may get an idea with your hanging baskets to.

Cheryl, I can't grow Foxgloves. If I try they are a short lived annual. I love the lore and look of them.

You are obviously in a warmer zone than I am. I am in zone 6b here in SW Indiana, US. I love Mahonia but cannot grow it at all. The blue of the leaves and those blooms and berries are a favorite I can enjoy only through pictures or visiting a southern garden.

Your Grandson is a handsome little Dude. I bet you can't get enough of him.

Hedgehogs are the cutest things. I am happy to hear that you have them in your garden as I have read they are endangered in your area of the world.
