Shadows fall in unexpected places..........
and the magic of autumn is suddenly all around.......
Little creatures resting.....taking in the warmth........
A lone bee just enjoying the day..............
A lone bee just enjoying the day..............
To those who have not yet learned the secret of true happiness, begin now to study the little things in your own back yard...........
What makes you really happy?????

Dear Cheryl,
The joy of Autumn in your garden...
such sweetness, thank you. The beauty of the butterflies and the changing of the leaves is calming and reassuring...all is in perfect order. The wheel turns. Sleep will come to our gardens. We too will rest.
Lovely....
Sherry
Cheryl, the beauty you see is special. I so enjoy seeing your view of your world. It makes me look a little harder in mine. Thank you for sharing.
I am doing better. Working on a post-finding it difficult to write though. Kind of got the blahs. Thanks for thinking of me, it brightens my day.
Dear Sherry.......
Indeed the wheels turn.....life is fleeting.....I looked at my parents today and thought...how did you get that old, I don't remember it happening......
Nature has taught me so much....working with the wildlife, planting for them, I am part of this space...........
Don't look harder Beckie....just feel when you walk the garden....take in the air and just glance around....enjoy the moment....it will come to you.....
I worry about you at the moment....I am searching many books on herbs for you.....I have read in depth about your condition.....I have not found much as yet but I have many more to look through. You never know something may turn up......I send you healing thoughts....I am a great believer in the power of thought......
Sleep well......
Thank you for the quote as well. It's so true.
Cheryl, you are the perfect example of Carver's quote--you have such an eye for beauty in the smallest of details. Your new camera takes wonderful photos, but they would be nothing without the eye behind them that sees the images first. Thank you for this reminder to look at the "little things."
Lovely photos, I too love Autumn... In fact I love all seasons with Summer actually being my least favourite :)
Spring always holds such joy, because life begins again and you wake from the winter slumber. The birds begin to sign again and everything seems so magical.
Your new camera is wonderful. Your photos so clear and detailed. I love the brilliant red leaves in your garden....the little creatures preparing for winter.
This post brings me peace. Thank you for sharing a little of your backyard, your views, your thoughts.
Happiness? Nature and friends to share with.
Blessed Bee
Cheryl, you write such lovely prose for your photos. Or is it your photos make your prose come alive?? Either way wonderful.
this is one of my favourite posts you have done. i love the things hidden in and about our gardens. life is so full of wonderful things and nature is the keeper of them all.lovely post and lovely words makes for lovely thoughts.
thank you, cheryl!
Thank you Rose.....I find autumn a very emotional season......it always makes me feel melancholy......when there are problems I go find the little things......
Thank you Liz.....I love all seasons but this is my favourite with Spring next.....
I am glad you found peace Wendy that is so good to hear.....
Hi Lisa....when I write a post I always upload my chosen photographs and then just type what is in my mind as I look at them......I never write it down first. I know I should but as I have said before I am a lazy blogger......
Thank you Marmee always a pleasure when you visit.....
Happiness for me is a quiet walk in the garden or woods or along a beach ..me myself and nature...love the change of the autumn leaves.
Lovely post. Such beauty is all around us if we will only stop and take it in.
Lovely pics wonderful quote, so very true!
Beauty is everywhere isn't it. Those are some appropriate parting thoughts - it is wonderful to just have a yard to ponder.
I am finding little creatures doing much resting these days...I think it won't be long before they are tucked away until spring.
Amen. Cheryl, you are a poet.
Love the four seasons.
You know I'm new to blogging and I was wondering when everyone is going to slow down on their posts.
I'm afraid I'm going to miss something so I'm on the computer everyday. :)
It is addictive Patsi when you first start......I am not so full on these days.....
