Season of Mist......

The days are warm and sunny at the moment........but early morning....
mists hang over the garden..........I love this time....the garden becomes....
hushed and has an ethereal quality that goes beyond words......

grasses look quite mystical.........
and simple flowerheads distract me........I just have to take it all in......its all part of the grand picture........

and when the days close the skies are soft.........

and the nights are so beautiful......... I love England......I love the fact that the weather changes so frequently.......from mist to sun to chilly nights all in a day...............

Lovely pictures and narrative. We also tend to have morning mist in the mountains. I love the quality it gives.

I like the way you described the mist as hushed...silent, with its own special character. We don't have it too often but when we do, I take notice.

again, fantastic pictures and narrative. The mist does seem like it holds a few secrets, doesn't it?

Hi mountainwoman....I have travelled the mountains when they are covered in mist....there is nothing more beautiful.....

Hi Mary.....I love the quietness the mist brings.....it is quite ghostly......

Hi Mimi....the mists I am sure hold many secrets as little creatures scurry around unseen......

I love your garden grasses in the mist. You do have large clumps of pampas grass! I haven't heard too many people say they like the weather in England ;-)
It sure makes things lush and green though.

Such beautiful foggy dew. No wonder you love it.

Hi Ruth....my grandfather was a scot....I think I have celtic blood...hence cold and damp weather does not bother me too much....I also get bored when things stay the same....so dips in weather keep me happy......

Also too much sun and I feel miserable......

Looks like you are enjoying your new camera. Your pics are truly beautiful, capturing the mists, showing their elegant and secretive side.
The sunset brings a gentle quietness; the moon tranquility.

How lovely Cheryl. I love to garden on a cool misty day. Everything is so quiet, and I feel like it there is nothing in the world except me and the garden.

I think when you are close to nature, you can see and appreciate the ever changing nuances of the day and season. Your pictures of sunset and night are so peaceful.

I love misty mornings like this, too, Cheryl. We don't have them often, but I enjoy the quiet feeling of seclusion they give. I love the way you take us from sunrise to sunset here.

How wonderfully you've captured the fog! Our fog comes in December and January so when I see your photos I think of Christmas time and all the wonderful feelings leading up to the holidays. Thank you for this wonderful post to lift my spirits today when I'm feeling a bit under the weather.
