A bit of sunshine.

Its amazing how a little bit of sunshine brings so many creatures out. I find insects easy to photograph, as they will carry on doing there own thing without much of a panic. Mr Robin and Mr Blackbird are fairly tame and always available for a bit of filming. The more elusive creatures that I would love to get a shot of still fox me time and time again. I have been following goldfinch around the garden for about three weeks now, all to no avail. Yesterday I saw a beautiful little weasel, time I focused in on him, scat gone. Long tailed tits have also arrived and they again tease me constantly, now you see me, now you don't. I will keep trying. The good news is both the goldfinch and long tailed tits are nesting in the garden. Rejoice.

Great pictures Cheryl. I will look forward to seeing the Tit pictures. Too bad you couldn't get the weasel too. They are quick.

Cheryl, you have such a talent for photography! Especially seeing the things that make the picture great. I'm sure with your determination you will get those elusive birds. I'm so glad you finally got sunshine. Enjoy!

The weasel was very quick, Lisa, especially when you have a terrier looking you straight in the eyes!!!

Thank you Beckie, not sure I agree, but I do really enjoy it. Tku re sunshine, it was good to feel some warmth on my back bending down over the soil.

Your insect pictures are so wonderful, Cheryl. You are certainly giving us a lesson on the "birds and the bees"! :-)

Good luck on capturing the goldfinches; mine haven't been seen since I scared them off with the camera Saturday.
Glad you are finally getting some sunshine.
