Heavy rain again, but some things just make you smile.

It rained again, heavy torrential rain. Despite the weather, there are the tulips, bright and colourful. The apple blossom is just beginning to open and a cornflower shows its beautiful blue bloom. The birds are in abundance and are so uplifting. But do you know what did it for me today, a little girl who said....."Don't worry about the rain Nanna, me do spell and sun shine for you morrow" Can you beat it, I don't think so.

Wow, those tulips are amazing...so pretty! But I can see that little gal is the prettiest flower in your garden. :-)

Thank you so much for your lovely comments Cheryl. It's alway nice to know that others enjoy what you do. And it was Mich that got me started on the blogging in the first place xx

Re Poppi, oh how sweet. And doesn't she look gorgeous in her outfit, bless her.

The tulips look stunning. Ours have just come out and they really brighten up the garden. We have an 'island' which is there really to disguise the septic tank (yukky but that's living in the sticks for you!) and there are bright red tulips mixed with bluebells and they look so lovely. Now if only Poppi could really conjure up some sun..... xx

What a little sweetheart! She can do a magic sunshine spell for me anytime. Loved the pics, especially of the bee. You do have a knack with a camera.
Thanks for your comments on my blog. Oh those menopausal moments - good thing we can laugh!

Hope the 'spell' works! She is just darling and I'll bet Nana spoils her. (you know I would) Your flowers are so pretty and I see in one you have dusty miller. That's an old favorite of mine. What is the bird in your header? Looks a little like our doves...Have a great day!

Are you sure it was a little girl? It looks like a garden fairy to me. How delightful. No wonder you are smiling. It made me smile too.

Cheryl, (me, again!) I've been meaning to tell you-both kinds of the poppies you sent me are growing. Slowly, but they are up. Have them outside, but still in seedling trays til they get a little bigger. I've planted the Cerinthe in several spots and it is doing great. As are the teddy bears and the tomatoes. Can't wait to show you pictures! Thank-you again.

You may have had foul weather in April, Cheryl, but you certainly have lots of lovely blooms in spite of it! And a princess like yours (I have one, too) can make up for any disappointment.

I was gone most of yesterday and missed your last post. Thanks for showing me Churchill; he looks quite contented there:)

Gorgeous tulips!!! I'm suddenly into tulips, since I did a couple of pots of them! I like fairies too and have one or two dotted around, but not nearly as pretty and life like as yours!!!! lol!!!

Hi Connie Tulips are lovely, but little Poppi is the prettiest of all.

That ok Dawny, they were justified.
Tulips and bluebells lovely combination, can see them in my minds eye. Septic tanks etc are all part of living in the countryside. I don't mind paying that price just to be here.
Maybe the sun will shine you never know, Poppi is a magical little girl!!

Thank you Wendy, I love photography but I am still learning, to say the least.
Laughter is the best medicine of all, and I laugh a lot. I like you can laugh at the things I do, and that is a most healthy response. Hope life is treating you kindly.

Poppi is magical Beckie. The sun always shines when she is around. Dusty Miller thats a new name for me....we call it the cornflower, or at least that is what I have always called it.
The bird on the header was a wood pigeon. The farmers don't like themaround here but I love their gentle cooing.

Hi Lisa....I am glad you know a real fairy when you see one, some people don't you know!
She makes me smile thats for sure.

She is the prettiest bloom in the garden Rose.

Its funny Libby, I was never really into tulips until recently. I have seen such beauties on other blogs, including yours, that I am now quite taken with them.
She is a gorgeous fairy.
