Name that flower.

Last autumn I planted a lot of bulbs. I wanted new things to appear around the garden and have a few delightful surprises. This is one of them. I rushed into the shed to find the covers that I kept to identify them, and surprise surprise Mrs Disorganised can't find them. If my memory serves me well it is a trout lily. Can anyone confirm this, it looks a bit like the one in my RHS book.

Dear Cheryl,
It does look like a trout lilly. They are wild flowers in my neck of the woods. Not blooming yet here. It is so cold!
I love your header today! Lovely flower and butterfly...
Ahhh...
I am looking forward to when my flowers will be blooming and the bees and butterflies return...

Tku Sherry....how lucky to have them growing wild.
Took the photograph last year, perenial sunflowers are a favourite of mine and speckled wood is a beautiful butterfly. The come evey summer and dance along the boundaries claiming their territory.
This spring has been awful so far. Doesn't summer seem a long time away.

Sorry don’t know the name, we don’t plant many bulbs around here. But she looks great; I hope you get many more. Thanks for visiting my Blog

It does indeed look like some kind of a wildflower lily, but I don't know the name.
I meant to tell you yesterday, Cheryl, how much I like your header. (I was so taken with your post about the apple tree that I forgot to mention it.) I love coneflowers, so I have quite a few of them, and in the summer the butterflies are all attracted to my flowerbeds. My grandaughter loves to come to see "Grandma's butterflies."

Its good to share butterflies with the grandchildren, all part of learning for them and making our gardens more beautiful.
