Oh what joy.

I woke up this morning and thought I am not going to post today. I've got so much to do, I really must just get on. While working in the garden I turned and noticed the violets in bloom. I have grown these all my married life and yet when they come into flower my heart almost misses a beat. I have to touch and smell them. They have reseeded all around the garden and I still havn't got enough. I simply had to share my joy with you all. Have a fab weekend.

Dear Cheryl,
I too grow wild violets in my yard. I love them! Yours are a blessing to see. Snow showers are keeping Spring away here.
Your wild violets made me smile.
Thank you!
Happy New Moon!
Sherry

Blogger ate my first comment! So will try again!!

Oh, so sweet! I love violets too. Here they are sometimes considered a weed. Not in my garden! I let them grow wherever they want.

Dear Sherry and Beckie

I am so glad that you like the violets. To me they are wild flowers, never weeds. I never quite understand why people struggle with exotic plants, when you can get beautiful wild flowers that are native and manage to cope with most situations. When some of mine come through this year I am going to do a complete post on them. People will then see how lovely they are, if you are selective.
Have a lovely weekend.

Do you know what, I have no violets at all in my garden! Shame really as they are such lovely little plants!

Hi Libby
They are such lovely plants and so very easy. They smell exquisite.
Tks for dropping by.

How lovely, Cheryl. I wish we could grow violets here. Thanks for following the link from Mark's place to Pollywog Creek - and for leaving a comment. I do hope you will come back again soon...and that your weekend is lovely.

Hi Cheryl - the violets are beautiful and so evocative of Spring in England. Another something I wish we could have here.
